Today, the Ministry of Health, through the Directorate of Reproductive Health in collaboration with Hivos and YONECO, convened a consultative dialogue meeting with various stakeholders on Age of Consent for Sexual Reproductive Health Services (SRH) at Ufulu Gardens in Lilongwe.
Among other people, the meeting was attended by officials from various government Ministries, departments and agencies, representatives of various Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and community members.
The purpose of the dialogue meeting on the Age of Consent for adolescents’ access to health services is to build consensus and harmonization among key stakeholders and to reduce barriers to access of SRH services for adolescents and young people in Malawi.
